Violent incidents, including series of random slashing has many c0ommuters on edge. Recent victims include cops shot, a grandmother slashed on the subway, a man stabbed in broad daylight in the East Village... etc.

In the coming weeks, New Yorkers are seeing extra uniformed officers at subway stations and strategic locations across the city.
