Tanker Truck Accident

Local public safety officials responded to a tractor-trailer accident. The truck was carrying over 12,000 gallons of gasoline, which turned over along the side Bruckner Interchange near the Hutchinson River Parkway today.

This accident resulted in a fuel spill and causing many delays as well as the closure of I-95 South at the Bruckner Interchange. Luckily, there were no reports of injuries and the gasoline leak was been contained to a grassy area near the crash.

Great Painter and Connoisseur

Renwen Lecture Series: The Legacy of C.C. Wang as a Great Painter and Connoisseur. He is a celebrated collector and connoisseur of Chinese literati paintings of the 20th century, as well as a talented painter himself, spent over sixty years studying Chinese paintings from the Imperial Collection. For about 40 years, while studying the original works, as well as the published images of these paintings, he recorded private notes. His notes reflect the traditional Chinese way of judging paintings, which he learned from his mentors, the eminent collectors and painters, Gu Lingshi and Wu Hufan.

This series invites audiences to listen to new jazz albums, while also meeting and hearing from the artists who recorded them. Hosted by Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Ken Druker, these informal discussions are held in the Irene Diamond Education Center, at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s home, Frederick P. Rose Hall.
