Another round of invasive removal work is about to begin in Pelham Bay Park's natural areas. The new location will be along Orchard Beach Road, and will be visible in the area from Glover's Rock heading west. This work is part of the Million Trees New York reforestation work that has been taking place all around the park for nearly three years now.

FDU’s Petrocelli College of Continuing Studies announces a special performance of A Christmas Carol performed by Gerald Dickens, great-great grandson of the author Charles Dickens. NYC Parks plans to pave the Putnam nature trail with asphalt and increase the width from 8ft to 15ft. Because of the excessive and irresponsible proposal by NYC Parks Dept. the proposed costs of this project have gone from $1,740,000 up to $2,419,000.
