Longtime civic leader and area community organizer Virginia Gallagher has passed away. She was reportedly in her 90s.

A City Islander “mussel sucker” Virginia Gallagher, was best known for her devotion to the retirees at Pilot Cove Manor reportedly passed away in her sleep at her Moravian Hall Square retirement home in Nazareth Pennsylvania.

City Images reached out to Nancy Bullivant the administrator on call who would neither confirm nor deny this information. However, we were able to confirm it from our sources who are in touch with members of her family.

The new year 2023 brought fee-free copyrighted works from 1927 that has now entered the US public domain.

They will be free for all to copy, share, and build upon. These include Virginia Woolf’s To The Lighthouse and the final Sherlock Holmes stories by Arthur Conan Doyle, the German science-fiction film Metropolis and Alfred Hitchcock’s first thriller, compositions by Louis Armstrong and Fats Waller, and a novelty song about ice cream.
