This American slang term means that it is often the small details of something which make it difficult or most challenging. These details can prolong a task, or foil an otherwise straightforward deals. Like many proverbs which involve the devil, it is meant to sound a note of caution.

ESCAPING ISIS

The battle against ISIS has been waged largely by men. But it is women and children who have borne some of the more horrific violence, with thousands forced into slavery, where they have been subjected to rape and other forms of torture.

Sexual violence has a long history in war, but ISIS has built it into their bureaucracy, with dedicated slave markets and price lists based on the victims’ ages, according to Zainab Hawa Bangura, the United Nations’ special representative on sexual violence in conflict.

A huge power failure occurred on the night of July 13, 1977 that left The Big Apple in the dark. The 24-hour blackout led to major acts of vandalism at many sections of NYC. It took hours for cops to respond to areas which needed them the most.

Some 2,000 people were reportedly arrested. Firefighters answered 1,500 alarms stores throughout the city and approximately more than half actual fires.

NYC beach-goers may enjoy the slate of performers that will take part in the 2015 Bronx Summer Concert Series at Orchard Beach. also known as The Bronx Riviera.

The Bronx Summer Concert Series at Orchard Beach kicks off TODAY, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., with Salsa legend Domingo Quinones.

The concert series is sponsored this year by Optimum, Macy’s, BronxCare, Latino Sports Ventures, the National Jazz Museum in Harlem, and NYC taxpayers.

This year’s concert series lineup, who will perform next to the Orchard Beach boardwalk at the main stage by Section 9, will feature acts such as:
