Some may decide to call it playing and trying to please the crowd, I prefer to focus on reflecting the community that we want to serve.

With its Latino cast, the arrival of In the Heights on #HBO and at local theaters was billed as a milestone for Hollywood. However, Lin-Manuel Miranda issued an apology for the film not including enough black Latino actors.

RIP: Pepe"Papa Joe" Muñoz

I am saddened to inform you all that my daddy Papa Joe is now in heaven with my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and The Lord.

He was such an amazing father, grandfather, husband, and performer. He had a standing command both at home and on stage. He lit up every space he entered and took hold of everyone’s hearts with his voice, and his music.

Live theatre is finally returning to NYC stages, and the lights will shine bright on Broadway, as shows will resume on Sept. 14.  

The coronavirus pandemic forced them all to close on March 12, 2020, and are now finally reopening.

Salsa music legend Willie Colón and his wife were involved in an accident in their motor home on North Carolina's Outer Banks.

The Bronx-born senior salsa star and social activist who helped pioneer Latin music in the 1970's at Fania Records, is currently being treated at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital following a motor home crash on North Carolina's Outer Banks.
