Politics As Usual?

While politicians on both sides of the aisle are retiring, a shake-up is urgently needed in all parties because too many longtime officials, members of Congress, US Senators, state and local politicians have become indebted to special interest groups by massive donations to their campaigns which represent dangers to our democratic system.

USA voters should consider a clean sweep and search for new leaders who are satisfied with their base salaries and work for the greater good of everyone.

Trump's Niger Problem

Submitted by ub on

Has Niger turned into Trump's Benghazi? A nation of nearly 21 million people, the Republic of the Niger is landlocked in Western Africa, named after the Niger River. An attack which resulted in the deaths of four elite US special forces with two others wounded when their unit, which was assisting local forces, was ambushed by local members of Islamic State in southwest Niger has drawn many questions the Trump administration apparently wishes to ignore with fake news. Congresswoman warns Niger ‘might wind up to be Mr. Trump’s Benghazi’ — is she right?

Crime scene investigation needed for The United States of America. Why are the special interests winning over the American public? It appears that all our problems have a common cause, special interests are ruining our quality of life and unless stopped, may devastate any hope for our children.

Why are American citizens allowing organizations receiving special advantages, typically through political lobbying? https://deargovernment.info/ Reach out with your ideas, suggestions, and demands to make it crystal clear they work for all of US. https://dearmrpresident.org/

POTUS visits Puerto Rico for the first time since Hurricane Maria devastated the island last month. He visits during growing tensions with local Puerto Rican officials, most notably San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz, over relief efforts.

He witnesses storm damage from Hurricane Maria after Trump attacked Puerto Rican officials who criticized the federal storm response. Everyone will be watching to see how he is received on the US island. As of this week, more than half of the island's 3.4 million people don't have access to drinking water and only 5% have power.

Tax Reform?

During the last debt-ceiling crisis, business leaders sought a grand bargain to raise revenue and cut spending in the manner proposed by the Simpson-Bowles fiscal commission.

The tax-reform proposal announced by the White House and the GOP will do the opposite, adding trillions of dollars to US debt. If the business community still believes in fiscal responsibility, now is the time to speak up and say you're the boss. https://deargovernment.info/ https://dearmrpresident.org/

While Americans in Puerto Rico continue their two-week-old nightmare and wait for a real USA lifeline to their growing nightmare, those victims and journalists say thanks, to all public safety officials and first responders who are tirelessly working hard to save lives, but why does POTUS keep Tweeting statements and accusations without proof and then appears to be enjoying another weekend at his posh NJ golf course? https://dearmrpresident.org/ #USA http://town-hall.doseofnews.com #POTUS http://politics.doseofnews.com/#TABA

The Taxman Taketh Away

Tax reform is all about showing me yours and I will be showing you mine. How can any so-called leader sell a tax plan if has not yet revealed his own taxes? Is do as I say and not as I do the POTUS way?

Some are accusing Trump of putting big companies first with his low tax plan. Others explain that a pig wearing lipstick is still a pig any way you look at it.

A 20 percent top corporate rate; 25 percent for “certain” pass-through businesses; three individual rates of 12, 25 and 35 percent with instructions for committees to add a fourth higher bracket if they choose?

The Need to Kneel

Before anyone says athletes have nothing to do with politics or breaking barriers we have this news to share....

First of all, when some folks pray, they kneel. Following the year-old controversy that Colin Kaepernick started, more NFL players and other athletes are reacting by sitting or taking a knee before games to protest what they perceive as racial inequities in the nation’s criminal justice system.
