Latino voters have never had a greater and more significant impact on a presidential election in history than they did this time around. President Obama garnered 71 percent of the Latino vote nationwide compared to Governor Romney's 27 percent. Mitt Romney's showing among Latinos in 2012 is the worst for a GOP candidate since Senator Bob Dole won 21 percent of the Latino vote back in 1996.

USA may not seem different today after Election Day: Same president. Same divided Congress.

But now that we finally know who will be in charge for the next few years, we can start to free ourselves from the myth that they are important. In fact, we are more important and they work for US. The streets where we live and the neighborhoods where we walk, shop, play and pray aren't likely to look much different any time soon if we believe our politicians.

New Yorkers brace for post Sandy commute as they face traffic gridlock, gasoline shortages and public transportation disruptions threaten drivers and students who are returning to school after that devastating super-storm.

Following Super-storm Sandy, another challenge looms ahead for the people of that region. Commuters, school children and motorists are now forced out of their cars by a fuel shortage and find themselves relying on transit systems which are not capable of transporting them.
