Art imitates life" is a concept where creative works reflect real-world experiences, emotions, and observations, with artists drawing inspiration from their surroundings and lived experiences. For example, literature often explores universal human themes like love and loss, and visual arts can depict historical events or real people. The idea that art mirrors reality was supported by ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle, who saw art as mimesis, or imitation.
