Cold Time In The City

Submitted by Admin on

Cold time in the city... An area of disturbed weather, currently in Texas, is expected to move northeast during the day on Sunday. As it does, it will encounter colder air which will cause wintry precipitation to be possible. Areas in northeast Texas and Arkansas will begin to see impacts on Sunday morning.

Areas further north and east, in southern Indiana and southern Ohio, will receive precipitation by Sunday evening.

ARCTIC HIGH PRESSURE WILL MOVE OVER THE AREA TONIGHT...ALLOWING FOR
THE BITTERLY COLD TEMPERATURES TO CONTINUE. LOWS WILL RANGE FROM THE
SINGLE DIGITS IN THE OUTLYING AREAS...TO THE TEENS ALONG THE COAST.
WIND CHILL VALUES WILL ONLY BE SLIGHTLY LOWER THAN THE ACTUAL
TEMPERATURE DUE TO LIGHT WINDS. SKIES WILL START OUT CLEAR...BUT
HIGH CLOUDS WILL INCREASE LATE TONIGHT.

HIGH PRESSURE WILL PUSH OFF THE EAST COAST ON SUNDAY AND WINDS WILL
SHIFT TO THE SOUTH. THIS WILL MEAN WARMER TEMPERATURES...BUT THEY
WILL STILL BE SLIGHTLY BELOW NORMAL...GENERALLY IN THE LOWER TO
MIDDLE 30S. HIGH CLOUDS WILL DECREASE THROUGHOUT THE DAY...BUT
CLOUDS WILL LOWER AND THICKEN SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY AS A COLD
FRONT APPROACHES FROM THE WEST. THERE WILL BE A CHANCE FOR SOME
WINTRY PRECIPITATION ACROSS THE AREA LATE SUNDAY NIGHT.

THE WINTRY PRECIPITATION WILL CONTINUE FOR MONDAY MORNING AS THE
COLD FRONT CONTINUES ITS APPROACH. ANY WINTRY PRECIPITATION IS
EXPECTED TO CHANGE TO RAIN ALONG THE COAST LATER IN THE MORNING AND
INTO THE AFTERNOON.
