The National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts has lodged complaints with NBC Universal and Comcast over the fact that in 40 years, SNL has never hired a Latina cast member. Why do they hire non Hispanic brown-faced actors to play those skits?

¿Dónde están los Latinos y los Asiáticos en #SNL40 哪里是拉美裔和亚裔的 #SNL40 Where are the Latinos and Asians on #SNL40 ???

For forty years, I can not recall a Latino cast member, and the only character profiled was a cast member making fun of a Hispanic: “Baseball been berry, berry good to me!” Repeated as an infamous SNL catchphrase from SNL first black cast member Garrett Morris, appearing as Chico Escuela. He was A character on "Saturday Night Live". Chico Escuela was actually a make belief baseball player from The Dominican Republic . Chico spoke only broken English, so the entire joke centered on him responding to questions with: "Baseball... been berra berra good... to me."

Typically he would be introduced by the anchor and..." Soon would follow his standard catchphrase: "Baseball been berry, berry good to me!" Sammy Sosa, at the peak of his stardom in the late 1990s, would sometimes repeat that line as a joke, to the media, albeit in his true-to-life strong Latinos accent.
