Good old punishment is on tap at the GOP. US House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and his allies are mad as hell and wont take it anymore.
They are fixing to punish conservatives who have been a thorn in leadership’s side with a purge that is roiling the GOP conference.
Boehner and his political allies have been retaliating against rank-and-file members who voted against procedural motions and, nearly derailing a major trade package favored by Republican leaders ready to clear the House today.
The Speaker has lashed out at conservative rebels before, the latest internal HOP purge has been particularly aggressive by targeting members of the new, conservative House Freedom Caucus. who voted against the rule.
The latest target is Colorado Representative Ken Buck, who may possibly be be stripped of his title as GOP freshman class president today.
