Born Prince Rogers Nelson on June 7, 1958, the Minneapolis, Minnesota singer, songwriter, instrumentalist, producer and actor was recognized as a musical genius, trend setter and advocate for artists’ rights.
The superstar music legend died at his home studio, Paisley Park, in Minnesota. Prince was hospitalized last Friday with the flu.
