Although I did not always agree with his politics and opinions, I never felt the need to silence the Superstar, who brought us joy.

The best-known Jamaican-American musician, actor, and human rights activist Belafonte joined the Civil Rights Movement in the 1950s. He reportedly became one of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s closest confidants. Over the years he organized demonstrations, raised money, and contributed his personal funds to keep movement activities going.

All Americans must stay strong, fearless, and wise, but mostly, we should have a heart, hope, tolerance, empathy, and lots of love.

For example, The Amazing Mets took a humoristic jab at The Dammned Yankees following a massive upset in the 1969 World Series over the Baltimore Orioles.

Raquel Welch’s celebrity in the 1970s was colossal and it’s a pity that no filmmaker could quite bring it out of her sex appeal.

She first burst on the scene in 1966 looking like a million bucks in the film One Million Years B.C. Jo Raquel Welch was an American actress. She first won attention for her role in Fantastic Voyage, after which she won a contract with 20th Century Fox. They lent her contract to the British studio Hammer Film Productions, for whom she made One Million Years B.C.
