This national holiday honors the American labor movement and the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, laws, and well-being of this wonderful country.
It has been known as the Supreme Court of the United States, which is the highest federal court of the nation. SCOTUS was established pursuant to Article Three of the United States Constitution in 1789, it has ultimate appellate jurisdiction over all federal courts and state court cases, involving issues of federal law plus original jurisdiction over a small range of cases.
However, since Republicans took control of the US government, the court is moving towards an extremely conservative ideology.
As the nation celebrates this national holiday weekend we call Labor Day, we look at who and what is working or not much.
This is a public holiday as well as a day of festivities held in honor of working people. While it is celebrated in the USA and Canada on the first Monday in September, in many other countries around the world, it is celebrated on May 1.

Besides my dearest family members, which include my late brother, who also a member of the US military in Vietnam, I have known many wonderful people throughout my career. One day, I may even write the book which my loved ones suggest I should, but for now, this blog is sufficient. Nice stories happen to people who tell them.
