With all the recent publicity surrounding Alexander Hamilton, let US not forget about all our founding parents, who may be Turning in their graves after some grievous comments made during and after the last debate.

There are unfortunately more popular founding fathers than founding mothers, but that may soon change. CITY IMAGES enjoyed seeing @HillaryClinton wearing Suffragette White on the final #debatenight of 2016.

Thanks be to God and The American Academy of Pediatrics, which now says it’s OK for babies to Skype or FaceTime with grandma and grandpa, and for older children and teens to do some of their socializing, learning and playing online — as long as they put down their devices long enough to sleep, exercise, eat, converse and otherwise engage in rich offline lives.

OUR AMERICA

Hispanics have made tremendous contributions to AMERICA to make it the land of the free and the home of the brave. One fine individual is Lin-Manuel Miranda, who cut his teeth and developed an artistic flair while his father was the Latino political celebrity in The Big Apple.
Now he has blossomed into a powerhouse playwright and producer.

Snoopy is losing his Met Life retirement plan, just as his brand becomes more valuable. From now on, we'll be missing the giant blimp featuring Snoopy in his World War I pilot gear. MetLife will have an M in blue and green colors. Boring, and since its that time of the year, then BOO-RING.

It’s unfortunate the announcement was made days after the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown’ 50th Anniversary: How Snoopy First Took Flight.

BAD HOMBRE

Submitted by ub on

During the third and finally last debate, when the topic turned to immigration, Trump repeated his calls to deport undocumented immigrants, continued his divisive stereotypes, and concluded by saying, “we’ve got some bad hombres here.” He is the one who is not only a bad hombre but a bad padre and MALO for America. (Make America Lose Again) The Americas have seen more than its share of dictators and Americans must reject this threat.

The final curtain will be tonight's Las Vegas Showdown on prime-time TV. This is The Donald's last opportunity to right his wrong campaign, and for Hillary, who approaches a final round of concerns about trustworthiness and authenticity.

One thing for sure, the whole world is watching and waiting to see if the Republican presidential nominee rises to his serious challenge when he and Democrat nominee face off in their third and final debate.

Near 80 degrees in October? Where's the fall weather? Swap out the hoodies for tank tops as tomorrow's forecast calls for a little more warmth in October.

We are not complaining, in fact, we were pleasantly delighted by the sights on the beach.
Our resolve is to visit Orchard Beach more often. As you can see, we had one constant visitor of one of our websites enjoying the temporary warm temperatures in the NYC area. We met this NYC college student, who decided to read on the beach and we were able to spot her wearing a Dose of News shirt that our supporters have ordered online.

ELECTION DAY

There's a reason Election Day is on Tuesday, this was a scheduling decision that made sense in 1845 when election days were standardized. Sunday was the sabbath, so traveling that day to make it to your polling place on Monday was out. And then farmers had to go to market on Wednesdays. Back then, lots of people were farmers and many were religious.

Now in 2016, the majority of US citizens don't farm anymore and God-fearing Americans drive. Yet, Election Day remains on a Tuesday, so why not make it a national holiday. We can call it Democracy Day and give everyone a day off.

BOSS DAY

Boss’s Day is observed on October 16, or the nearest working day, which is today. I can safely say speaking from experience that if you have a boss, you're better off with a woman as your superior.

The day goes a long way to improving the relationship between employees and supervisors. Also, there's nothing more miserable than celebrating someone that you don’t like. And then there is the pressure if a collection being taken to get the boss a gift. If you don’t contribute, you're not a team player.
