The European Journalism Center (EJC) announced that it will be launching its new Verification Handbook in January 2014. The Verification Handbook is a groundbreaking new resource for journalists and aid responders, which provides step-by-step guidelines for using user-generated content (UGC) during emergencies.

Kenyans Mutai and Jeptoo both won titles at today's NYC Marathon.
Geoffrey Mutai successfully defended his title Sunday, while another Kenyan, Priscah Jeptoo won the women's race.
