American Victory Gardens were planted across the United States during World Wars I and II with great success.

Back in 1917, during World War 1, the National War Garden Commission promoted home gardening in order to free up crops to feed soldiers who were fighting overseas.

They inspired students—calling them “soldiers of the soil”—to do their part in the war and help plant Liberty Gardens. When it started to look like the US and its allies would win the war, the name of the gardens was changed to Victory Gardens.

Recently I spoke with a smart person dear and near to me who repeated disinformation that continues making the global rounds.

Six degrees of manipulation impersonation, conspiracy, emotion, polarization, discrediting, and trolling are used to spread misinformation and disinformation, according to the Cambridge Social Decision-Making Lab.

For instance, a false news story may quote a fake expert, use emotional language, or propose a conspiracy theory to manipulate readers.

Republican candidates are crawling over each other to try and outdo competitors on their levels of Toughness and Testosterone.

They appear to think that when Russian President Vladimir Putin was shown shirtless, many far-right GOP dopes argued that the USA would be better off if the leader could be that macho. Some have resulted in attacking Mickey Mose, banning books, and wearing high heels. One new non-GOP candidate has apparently resulted in using steroids or hormonal enhancement.

Sweden joins NATO as a member making it 32 with all pointing at the tiny Communist dictator who would if he could.

POTUS Biden affirmed the US commitment to NATO and said he believed Russia engaged in election interference at a press conference Thursday. This took place at the same Helsinki palace where five years ago former President Donald Trump famously downplayed Russia's role in the 2016 election.
