Another winter storm is headed this way: Being prepared is a MUST.
Winter storms sometimes result with millions left without power, heat, or fresh running water. Making preparations before a winter storm is extremely important, since these leave dangerous roads and conditions in their paths.
The National Weather Service says the NYC metropolitan area will get hit late Wednesday night through Thursday night. There is a chance that we will get up to eight inches of snow, and possibly mixing with rain on Thursday.
FRIENDS

Average friends seek what pleases them, they prioritize distractions. They are people who sometimes contribute, but not in our ability to acquire or earn money by charging for what we do.

GIVE: AGAINST GUN VIOLENCE
GIVE Initiative Builds On More Than A Decade Of Crime-Fighting Successes Through Operation IMPACT and is said to makes New York safer.
Governor Andrew Cuomo says 17 counties will compete for more than $13 million to fund efforts to reduce firearm-related crimes, shootings, and homicides through the state’s new Gun Involved Violence Elimination (GIVE) initiative. The initiative is designed to build upon the crime-fighting successes those jurisdictions experienced while participating in Operation IMPACT.

Due to weather conditions, the Department of Parks & Recreation (DPR) and an independent contractor may continue to conduct an aerial survey of the deer population over various parks on Staten Island and in The Bronx Today, 2/11 and Wednesday, 2/12 at 6 PM,
These include Pelham Bay, Van Cortlandt, Riverdale, Bronx River, Fresh Kills, Sawmill Creek, Sweetbay Magnolia Preserve, Clove Lakes, Ocean Breeze, Mariners Marsh, Wolfes Pond, Great Kills, Greenbelt, Blue Heron, Long Pond, Arden Heights, and Conference House.

VALENTINES DAY COMING OUR WAY
If you're looking for a place to celebrate this special day of love, relaxation and romance, you should know that Cupid has moved somewhere quiet and out of the way. He now lives in Valentine, Texas. You may also send your significant other a love letter, or valentines day card with a love stamp on it.
According to US Census figures there are at least 187 folks living there and that's not counting Cupid. But, Cupid has some helpers there that have a Valentine's Day re-mailing program that involves the whole town.
RIP SHIRLEY TEMPLE

Actress, former child star and US diplomat, Shirley Temple Black's films cheered American depression-weary moviegoers and made her the most famous little girl in the world. She died last night at age 85 of undisclosed causes.
Shirley Temple was born on April 23, 1928 and began her film career in 1932. Temple was an American film and television actress, singer, dancer, and former U.S. ambassador to Ghana and Czechoslovakia.

This is certainly not one of David Letterman's top ten list, not even close. But since today is the 50th Anniversary of The Beatles first US broadcast appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show, which is now the same stage where that show is recorded each day, we figured why not try out.
