Ukraine was the center of the first eastern Slavic state, Kyivan Rus, which during the 10th and 11th centuries was the largest and most powerful state. It borders the Russian Federation, Belarus, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary.

The city of Kiev or Kyiv is the capital and the largest city of Ukraine, with a huge population making it at least 8th largest city in Europe.

TONIGHT SHOW BACK IN NYC

On TV at 11:30P it's the two guys named Jimmy up against the old man named David.

Jimmy Fallon started as host of the new "Tonight Show" on NBC last night. Jay Leno is gone, Jimmy Fallon, Arsenio Hall and Jimmy Kimmel currently reign as new levels of ‘hip’ factor. This leaves an older Letterman standing at a the CBS crossroads.

Tonight Show got 11.3 million viewers last night, which is not too shabby for a fresh start.

Craigslist is an online classified advertisements website where people look for housing, jobs, personals, items for sale, items wanted, and all types of services.

After a young self described Sanatn worshiper from Pennsylvania named Miranda may have lost her rights after confessing to stabbing a man she met on Craigslist and a lot more to a local reporter. Authorities may consider the confession to be fair game.

Even Satan worshipers are disavowing her saying that she's not one of them. That's what Satanists are saying about accused "Craigslist killer" Miranda Barbour.

WAR ON VACANT NYC LOTS

NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio may soon be reportedly increasing taxes on vacant residential lots outside Manhattan as a way to pressure developers to put up housing while increasing tax revenues.

De Blasio wants lot owners to put up or pay up. His wants to close a tax loophole that could possibly force landlords to build new housing on their vacant plots or sell out to those who do.

As if the previous storms have not caused enough traffic accidents, death and destruction, a final fast-moving snowstorm could be adding up to 5 inches on top of last week's blanket of snow on the Northeast region.

This system is packing heavy winds gusting as high as 30 mph, and possibly causing additional deaths and injuries to the already punch-drunk United States of enough already.

Parts of the country are near-whiteout conditions, where the early week commute is once again expected to be a snowy mess.

SPRING EQUINOX WATCH

The countdown is on until the Spring Equinox. There are two equinoxes every year. One in March and another in September. This is when the sun shines directly on the equator and the length of day and night is nearly equal.

Seasons are opposite on either side of the equator, so the equinox in March is also known as the "Spring Equinox" in the northern hemisphere. However, in the southern hemisphere, it's know as the "autumnal equinox", which occurs in Fall.
