It has been more than 20 years since NAFTA was implemented with a massive increase in cross-border economic activity.

By uniting the economies of Canada, Mexico, and the United States, NAFTA created what is today a $19 trillion regional market with some 470 million consumers. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce figures that some six million U.S. jobs depend on trade with Mexico and another eight million on trade with Canada.

Wicked winter weather has packed a wallop of snow everywhere in USA except Florida.

This brutal storm has been blamed for 18 deaths is expected to deliver one final force of falling snow, rain and sleet as warmer air begins to move in.

The nearly weeklong storm took a big toll from Texas to New England, producing a messy mix of ice-slicked roads, power outages and whiteout conditions that have battered millions of Americans enduring an already punishing winter.

As these communications conglomerates continue to grow they increase their domination in the US media landscape. Through a series of mergers and acquisitions, many of these companies have gained control over what we see, hear and read. Today, Comcast announced it wants to purchase Time Warner.

Governor Andrew Cuomo has officially declared sections of of NY State of Emergency for the Mid-Hudson, New York City, and Long Island regions as a Nor’Easter storm continues to impact parts of the State.

Under a state of emergency, critical resources that are normally restricted to State use are mobilized to assist local governments and laws and regulations that would otherwise impede their rapid response are suspended.
