The Real USA Allies

Submitted by ub on

We The People of The United States of America have long relied on a group of close allies, along with formal diplomatic relations with most UN member states except for Bhutan, Iran, North Korea, and Syria. That was then, but @realDonaldTrump has now changed all of this. Where is our system of checks and balances?

Why is it that longtime allies and trading partners like Canada, Great Britain, Germany, France, Mexico and South Korea have been pushed aside for North Korea, Russia, and China?

Purging US Voters

Submitted by ub on

By a 5-4 decision, US Supreme Court Justice Alito reverses the 6th circuit and upholds Ohio's purging of infrequent voters. The state of Ohio has purged 2 million voters since 2011, more than any other state. Black voters 2x as likely as whites to be purged in state's largest counties.

This means it is OK to purge voters from the rolls if they skipped voting a couple of times. Apparently, casting your ballot is no longer a right, but a privilege. This is why GOP lawmakers collaborate with POTUS. They know voter suppression helps them to make elections neither free nor fair.

POTUS TGIF

Trump Gets Intensely Flanked on Friday when he goes to G7 alone near the end zone. FLOTUS says she's is not going. Would some of America's established trading partners prefer it if POTUS stayed away and turned it into a G6? We'll have to wait and see, believe me.

A frosty and chilly reception is expected at the G7 Summit in Canada The US has not been isolated from allies in more than 100 years. America, the leader of the western alliance, is not acting like it and it has not been this way for a very long time.

Kids Inside Cages?

While children are being separated from their families and locked up in cages, POTUS blames it on bad legislation. Isn't it more like a terrible administration?

The nation's oldest news cooperative did some checking and reports AP FACT CHECK: Trump says "bad legislation" is forcing his administration to separate children from their parents at the border. That's not true. Trump blames Dems for border separations https://www.apnews.com/b503998e04c24e679535bf10b3242046

Bully POTUS Pulpit

Submitted by ub on

The Bully Pulpit was a phrase coined after Republican President Theodore Roosevelt utilized it in the White House.

The presidency is a powerful platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. @realdonaldtrump has apparently been using this tactic with some success until one day when it finally catches up with him.

From trade wars with US closest allies to attempting to tame China, North Korea, and perhaps Russia, Trump is convinced that bullying pays off in huge dividends. However, FLOTUS, who hasn't been seen in public for weeks claims she doesn't condone it.

With Friends Like US

Who needs enemies? Prepare for an international trade war that may possibly destroy the global economy, Thanks to POTUS.

The US has decided to impose tariffs on allies after all was said and done, our word was worth little or none. These imposed tariffs are taxes on imports or exports between sovereign states. Do they equally apply to other nations like Russia and China?

Unhappy Memorial Day

Submitted by ub on

On Memorial Day the USA remembers all soldiers who have died during an act of military service. Today, many businesses offer freebies and special discounts to veterans and active military.

However, as politicians tell their constituents how much they care about America and that they support #USA military veterans.

Why the are so many of them suffering from all the sacrifices they have made to protect our democratic form of government?

These are the sad facts and figures that should cause many of us grave concern before we hit the beach and enjoy parades.

Trump Torches

In the past 3 months, @POTUS has reportedly managed to antagonize or piss off many international leaders and it appears that his shoot from the hip hits just keeps on coming. During 90 days of nuclear tough talk, Trump has upset friend and foe.

Are the leaders and the people of the following nations scratching their collective heads and wondering how it came to this?

Passing Gas

Submitted by ub on

Why has the Republican-led Congress and The White House given a pass to extraordinarily high gasoline prices?

In case you have not noticed, gas prices are going through the roof just in time to hurt American travelers for the Memorial Day Weekend. Is our so-called leadership prepared to do anything about it?

The huge jump in driving costs is likely to fuel a wave of economic anger across the #USA just in time for the midterm elections. According to statistics, the average American driver will be paying $200 extra for gasoline.
