Multiple local media outlets were notified of a major announcement, except for City Island Images. However, it did not stop us from breaking the story and providing our thousands of readers with the latest, most accurate and up to date news on The City island Bridge.
City Island Images has learned from reliable sources that there will be a major announcement about the City Island Bridge this afternoon at Catherine Scott Promenade.
The event has been scheduled around noon time. Everyone who is interested may wish to attend and ask our so called Civic Leaders why this Bridgegate situation had to ever occur? Were they sleeping during the past few years, while officials were planning to replace our City Island bridge?
Playland bills itself as "America's Premier Playground". Playland evolved into much more than amusement rides and became a place to see circus acts, to dance under the stars, to win a new car, and crown the most beautiful baby in Westchester county.
With the boardwalk complete and the grounds spruced up, Rye Playland is set to open on 5/10.
For the first few days, unlimited rides will cost $15, and tickets go on sale at 10:30 a.m. The rain date for opening day is one week later on May 17.
