BRONX MURDER

The NY Medical Examiners Office says the woman found floating in The Bronx was murdered. She was an African American woman in her 30's, but her identity has not been released.

Officials say the corpse of the unidentified female was spotted partially naked near Bronx Boulevard and 224th Street in Edenwald on Saturday morning. They say she died of multiple blunt impact injuries to her head, with her skull fractured, as well as brain injuries.

Andy Miller and the other members of Ramblin’ Andy and the See Ya Laters were keeping an eye on the climbing temperature yesterday because they regularly take their sound to the streets, but yesterday they played on City Island to help celebrate our library's 100th Birthday.

It seems to me that for thousands of years, good penmanship has had so much to to do with the quality of the writing instruments we utilize.

Nowadays, when handwritten letters have taken a backseat to text messages, typed notes and e-mails on our home or work desk top computers, our lap-tops, or our hand held electronic devices, that old fashioned hand written letter and personal note is held in great esteem.
