As a young man, I went to college, earned my advanced degree, first married and my two lovely daughters were born in Miami.

This coastal city was founded by a woman named Julia DeForest Tuttle a successful businesswoman who owned the property upon which Miami, Florida, was built. For this reason, she is called the "Mother of Miami." and is the only woman to be the founding mother a major American city.

Sleep is our #BFF and also the very best and a most inexpensive dose of medicine. A naturally recurring state of body and mind.

It is characterized by altered consciousness, relatively inhibited sensory activity, reduced muscle activity and inhibition of nearly all voluntary muscles during rapid eye movement #REM sleep, and reduced interactions with surroundings.

On April 22, 1970, 20 million people across the world celebrated the very first Earth Day. Their message was sparked by the power of the anti-war protests of the 1960s, and events that brought the issue of the environment and its vulnerability to ecology to the forefront.

On earth day we take care of our planet, which is the only place we have to call home. Today I went to check out my body and soul.

We were reminded of the importance of meditation, exercise, and ❤️ LOVE.

  • Find a quiet place where you can be alone and undisturbed.

  • Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.

  • Put your attention on the area of your heart.

  • Breathe easily until you feel relaxed and quiet inside.

Then I went to see my primary care physician Dr. B ...

From Rodney King to George Floyd, both acts of police brutality were captured on video for the world to see the evidence that lied behind a blue wall of silence.

Records show that public safety officers accused of brutality had previous complaints against them, according to police officials. The first use of the term in the American press was in 1872 when the Chicago Tribune reported the beating of a civilian who was under arrest.

Twenty years makes a big difference especially video quality.  The VHS video in 1991 that captured four Los Angeles cops beating Rodney King was of limited quality from bad light and the quality of VHS. But it demonstrated excessive force.

What hasn’t changed is the issue of police use of deadly force against black males.

Sabrina, and I got together for dinner last night in what could be described as an NYC blowout. We had fun, believe me.

I had not hugged my baby daughter, Sabrina for over a year, and needless to say, this magic was long overdue. We were hearing all about the projects she is working on, and listing to Sabrina tell stories about my youngest grandchild Olivia.
