Global Water Crisis

Submitted by ub on

The Rime of the Ancyent Marinere is the longest major poem by the English poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge. It was written and published in 1798 in the first edition of Lyrical Ballads.

Along with other poems in Lyrical Ballads, it was a signal shift to modern poetry and the beginning of British Romantic literature.

“Water, water, everywhere,
And all the boards did shrink;
Water, water, everywhere,
Nor any drop to drink.”

― Samuel Taylor Coleridge, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner

"If history repeats itself, and the unexpected always happens, how incapable must Man be of learning from experience." George Bernard Shaw

As my journalism colleagues CD Jaco and Jay Dow point out, history may repeat itself, if we allow it to do so.

"Regardless of your political leaning, I am a firm believer in acknowledging the events of 'yesterday' - that is, history...and how they may (or may not) influence or guide us today.

Middle Class Shrinks

After more than four decades of serving as the nation’s economic majority, the American middle class is now matched in number by those in the economic tiers above and below it. In early 2015, 120.8 million adults were in middle-income households, compared with 121.3 million in lower- and upper-income households combined, a demographic shift that could signal a tipping point, according to a new Pew Research Center analysis of government data.

How is it that all the political BS is constantly being trumped almost daily with another outrageous absurdity? US is on the verge of a political breakdown and some are comparing it with The Trump Tower of BS.

More About Pluto

The Planet Pluto orbits from billions of miles away. It is much smaller than any of the official planets and now classified as a "dwarf planet".

Pluto is smaller than seven of the solar system's moons the Moon, Io, Europa, Ganymede, Callisto, Titan and Triton.

Now, images from the closest approach of the New Horizons spacecraft, offer the highest resolution images we’ll see of the icy surface.
