This course focuses on the relationship between the bass and the drums in a big band setting, offering insight into refining the collaboration between the two instruments within the rhythm section.

A hilarious musical version of the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale about two weavers who promise a vain Emperor an elegant new suit of clothes, invisible to anyone in the kingdom who is stupid or incompetent...then the fun begins!

BCA’s BRIO Café Saturdays continue in April 2012!

The Bronx Council on the Arts invites you to enjoy two more Saturdays of special creative events. Socialize and network with other artists, hear directly from BRIO winners, and enjoy a variety of presentations and thrilling performances. Festivities will include the return of the "Griots Collective," a group of talented young poets who will welcome you to perform spoken word of your own.
