Health Care

USA Patriot

I love my family as well as this great country. I proudly display American flags around my home and I own too many items, which I continue to hang on to and the question I can't get out of my head is who, what, when, which, where and how does a person become a real patriot?

I am a husband, a father and extremely proud to be called UB, Uncle Bob, or GB, aka Grandpa BoB. I truly appreciate of all my blessings every day. I'm a proud American citizen, a property owner, and taxpayer. Like many of us, I'm an immigrant who entered the United States legally. My family once lived under communism in Cuba, but left all worldly riches behind and fled for a democratic way of life in the USA.

I am not a Republican or a Democrat. I have no political affiliation. I'm a Christian, but no longer attend regularly scheduled religious activities. I do not represent any special interest groups. I'm not an advocate for a specific lifestyle albeit I respect everyone.

The Senate Majority Leader Republican Mitch McConnell was once again forced to delay his repeal and replace bill after he finally realized that after all the years of promises he still does not have enough GOP Senators supporting his bill, which was drawn up in secret. There just was not enough votes to advance the legislation past key procedural hurdles.

GOP Health Scare Bill?

Not so fast, GOP Senators. Senate Republicans say they will finally share their health care bill today after crafting the bill in secret for some time.

The secret bill has been kept away from some Republicans, all Democrats and independents and a vote could happen as early as next week, according to Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. However, Republicans can’t vote on the bill until the Congressional Budget Office analyzes how many people will be affected by it and how much it will cost.

TRUMPCARE Premiums will be higher for older Americans. Under Obamacare, insurers were able to charge a 64-year-old three times more for a policy than a 21-year-old. The AHCA will allow insurers to charge the older population five times more than younger people. States will be able to obtain waivers to charge even more than five times the amount.

American Healthscare

It's beginning to look like the USA will have a long hot wait while more American voters begin exercising their political muscles. The US House of Representatives has approved a new plan, which government officials at CBO have yet to vet.

This has a long way to go before it becomes law, but in the coming months, once it is reviewed by The Congressional budget office and tweaked by members of The US Senate, it can then become the law of the land to replace the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare.

We Don't Need No Stinking... Bill A Wall?

How did we go from Build a wall and make Mexico pay for it to Bill a wall to US taxpayers?
Is it possible that the American taxpayer will lose health care and be billed for a border wall instead?

Mexico was supposed to pay for Trump's wall. Now that they won't, will Congress cut health care and Medicaid to fund the wall? Is this stinking wall more important than the health, welfare, and education of every US citizen?

Don't give any more tax money to rich people and corporations. Funds should no longer go towards military spending.

Price Was Wrong

Tom Price, Trump's US Secretary of Health had one priority, to Repeal and Replace #Obamacare, which is what the president promised to replace it with #Trumpcare. The Secretary vowed to dismantle the health reform law that his predecessors spent years implementing.

He is an orthopedic surgeon who may have put his foot in his mouth while he decried ACA aka Obamacare was a threat to the quality and the affordability of American health care.
