Quinn and Weiner are both NYC Mayoral candidates, but that is where their similarities end. They could not be further apart in many ways and the two of them showed it at a City Island Community Center standing room crowd.

Christine Quinn was cool and pleasant during her City Island community forum appearance. If elected, Quinn would be the first woman and the first openly gay NYC mayor. She spoke about crime control, zoning and transportation issues. Ms. Quinn, who is also City Council Speaker now leads Weiner by double digits in the latest polls.

Those huge actions behind all of his big dollars and all of his cents were never making a heck of a lot of common sense. Large-size soft drinks are another sip closer to a huge comeback in the Big Apple.

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's efforts to ban large sugary drinks from restaurants, fast-food outlets, sports arenas, movie theaters and other outlets has now been rejected by New York Appellate Court ruling the plan was illegal.

FAILING AMERICAN INFRASTRUCTURE

Our infrastructure is not Republican nor Democrat, but it's necessary repair and upgrades have stalled as partisan political bickering continues to thrive.

Every family, every community and every business needs infrastructure to thrive. Infrastructure encompasses your local water main and the Hoover Dam; the power lines connected to your house and the electrical grid spanning the U.S.; and the street in front of your home and the national highway system.

Although his campaign manager has resigned and his political peers continues to shoot harsh words towards him, Anthony Weiner will stick it out and stay in the race for New York City mayor.

As reports surface about Weiner's exchange of lewd photos with women despite resigning from Congress in 2011 and his standing in the polls continue to fall, the City Island Civic Association has invited him and Christine Quinn to appear before the organization tomorrow.
