Out In The Cold

The Paris Agreement was signed in 2016 within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, dealing with greenhouse-gas-emissions mitigation, adaptation, and finance.

POTUS has begun to withdraw the United States from the Paris Agreement. This is the first formal step in a one-year process to exit the global pact to fight climate change. However, defying Trump, American governors who represent over half the U.S. population pledge to uphold the Paris climate agreement.

According to UN scientists, global emissions are reaching record levels and show no sign of peaking. The past four years were the four hottest on record, and Winter temperatures in the Arctic have risen by 3°C since 1990.

Sea levels are rising, coral reefs are dying, and we are starting to see the life-threatening impact of climate change on our health, through air pollution, heatwaves and risks to food security.

Killer Heatwave

Killer Heat is expected in the United States, with serious climate choices and future survival during dangerously hot days ahead.

The hot weather will spread across much of the central and eastern states over the next few days. Chicago, Detroit, New York City and Washington, D.C. may see what will soon be the very highest degree.

About 50 million Americans live where some level of heat alert is in effect. These include the very young, the elderly, those without air conditioning and those participating in strenuous activities, who are susceptible to heat stroke.

Government For We The People

Our president, The US House, and The Senate, including all public servants, must constantly be reminded that they work for us and we should tell them each and every day if they wish to stay, or else go away!

The issue should never be what is best for me, but it must always be what is best for We The People. The American taxpayers who pay your salaries and all the benefits you are enjoying.

Severe Climate Change

Forecasters report a noticeable increase in severe weather is ripping across our nation and there is no sign of it stopping any time soon. In fact, a tornado has hit a drive-through wild animal park in central Missouri, but no reports that people or animals were injured.

Every season has been clinched on May 20: Rockies winter storm warnings Tornado, flood threat in Plains. First named storm in Atlantic. Climate change damage is visible and real, and no one can deny its existence.

Natural Decline

Nature is declining globally at rates unprecedented in human history — and the rate of species extinctions is accelerating, with grave impacts on people around the world now likely, warns a landmark new report from the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES), the summary of which was approved at the 7th session of the IPBES Plenary, meeting in Paris.

As someone who does not like to fly, I do not appreciate reading the following developments, considering the recent hardware, software and everywhere fears I have of flying.

Researchers are linking climate change to increased turbulence. Anthropogenic climate change is expected to strengthen the vertical wind shears at aircraft cruising altitudes within the atmospheric jet streams.

Nature’s Deadly Wrath

A series of powerful tornadoes killed dozens of Americans over the weekend. Then a coastal storm system will bring heavy snow, dangerous winds, and hazardous travel throughout the Northeastern states.

An Arctic air sweep will continue to spill onto the Plains and expand into the eastern U.S. this week. Much more than below normal temperatures and biting wind chills can be expected over many locations.

#US storms that formed with Arctic air has led to bone-chilling temperatures, heavy snow blanketing the nation from coast to coast.
