That is the question ...

Move your bank accounts to take advantage of perks and earn more interest
If you’re paying a monthly fee for your checking or savings account, you would benefit from researching some of newest banking offers out there. Not only do some banks offer sign-up bonuses simply for opening an account and setting up direct deposit, but some offer attractive interest rates to new customers as well.

When terrorists in Paris attacked offices of French satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo, killing 12 people and injuring as many, they were protesting parody on the Prophet Muhammad.

Now, people all over have condemned the attack, with some carrying sings or posting “Je Suis Charlie” (“I Am Charlie”).

This attack was one of France’s deadliest in decades, prompting it to raise its terror alert to the highest level. From Bangkok to Berlin, thousands are taking a stand against living in fear, as rallies defend freedom of expression.

The place to find beautiful people

They call it the city of angels, but the official name is Los Angeles, aka LA-LA Land and in nearby Hollywood, they have all the beautiful people who are lucky enough to walk down the red carpet, and there are those who are just content to get up close and personal.

To feel like you’re one of these people, spend an afternoon on West Hollywood’s Robertson Avenue, or down ridiculously overpriced Rodeo drive where upscale department stores offer excellent chances to rub shoulders with celebrities.

EDUCATIONAL PLEDGE

Thinking Out-loud: Sorry folks, but the spirit of the civil rights movement is dead; and if not dead, it has definitely been contaminated by people with greed in their pockets --- and not the continued vision and dream of Dr. King..... All I hear is the perpetuation of the "victim game" with no articulation of personal responsibility, character building, and critical thinking. Alberto O. Cappas, President, The Educational Pledge.

Help for caregivers is available from various organizations. Once you learn what's available, it may be easier to chart a less-demanding course toward meeting the needs of your spouse, relative, or friend.

Here are some types of services and professionals you might want to investigate.

Texting vs Writing

I remember when writing a letter by hand was considered a very personal and kind of a special art form.

However, texting has grown to be the preferred means of communication, most certainly in our personal lives but in the business world as well. When used appropriately, it benefits sender and receiver with ever quicker communications. If someone is busy at the moment, a text is a great and a discreet way to ask them to call me when they are available.

The holidays are a busy time for so many of us, including our families and friends. They bring gatherings, social time with colleagues, and opportunities to give generously to causes that we care so deeply about. www.cimages.me

This year feels different and it's really not business as usual. This ongoing story speaks of a breach of trust so deep it’s hard to comprehend. The violence visited upon young students and their teachers in Connecticut stops many of us cold. The festive mood of the season is shrouded by a nation's shock and mourning.
