The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning for the five boroughs of NYC until Midnight.
Sustained winds between 25-40 MPH with gusts up to 60 MPH are expected. These winds will be capable of bringing down trees, large branches, and power lines. Driving will be difficult, especially in high profile vehicles and on elevated roads and bridges.

The February meeting of the City Island Civic Association will take place on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at 7:30 p.m. at 190 Fordham Street. We welcome your input and attendance and we need your help.
Updates from officers, committee reports on Crime, Development, Quality of Life and Traffic, and an open public forum for residents to air and address their grievances.
An update will be given on the upcoming City fiscal year budget battle. We believe that Ladder 53 will again be on the chopping block.
