AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE FOR THE YOUNG

I think health care should be more affordable for people my age. I am 19 years old, and health care is simply too expensive! It is said that people my age spend more time in the emergency room than any other age below 75. Forbes.com said that an 18 year old may go to the doctor 2 or 3 times a year, costing about $600. If they were to get health insurance, it would cost them over $1000 a year. It would be counterproductive for someone to spend more on health insurance than the actual cost of their bills. It’s like filling your gas tank and never driving your car- it doesn’t make sense!

Native American Astrology is an ancient system, as practiced and taught by the North American Indians, was in existence well before the first settlers arrived in the new world. It is a system apart from Western astrology and Chinese astrology and is based on the natural world and how we fit into the cosmic scheme of things.

These storytellers have passed on their culture from generation to generation as their beliefs were passed on by the elders to the children of the tribe. Through story and song both the history and theology of the tribe was transferred from one lifetime to another. Inspired by these teachings the new generation would make these beliefs the cornerstone of their faith as they continued the journey of life.

COLLEGE COST$

Submitted by ub on

According to published reports, about 40 percent of America’s college students are considered non-traditional. They vary in levels of responsibilities. Some are workers who’ve gone back to school, others are former members of the military embarking on new careers, or young parents wanting to do better for their families.

They could also be one of the most important game-changers in the ongoing national discussion on college completion and the continuing dialogue about paying for college tuition and how to fix higher education.
