The mayor was upset after the council passed the Community Safety Act earlier this summer. It sets up the office of the inspector general-- which will act as a watchdog over the NYPD--and makes it easier for New Yorkers to sue if they've been racially profiled by police.

Turn left once you cross over the City Island Bridge and you will find that the Lobster House offers not much more than good views.

Their service was slow and once the Crab Lobster Feast plate arrived, it was incomplete. The taste of the food was mediocre, but at least they offered large portions and the place appeared to be clean. CITY ISLAND LOBSTER HOUSE 691 BRIDGE STREET BRONX, 10464 718-885-1459

IMO Secretary-General Koji Sekimizu welcomes the entry into force of the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC 2006), adopted by the International Labour Organization (ILO), a sister UN agency to IMO.

“The entry into force of the MLC convention marks significant progress in the recognition of seafarers’ roles and the need to safeguard their well-being and their working conditions.
