They say that history repeats itself... The origin of the phrase is traced to various personages, including George Santayana. Renowned Novelist Mark Twain proposed a modification to the proverb. He said, ‘history doesn’t repeat itself, it rhymes’.

GOP Election Fraud

In North Carolina and at the end, after everything was said and done, wasn’t the Republicans who were left holding the smoking gun?

The GOP has claimed that our democracy is menaced by election fraud. It has been their excuse for voter suppression tactics, their rationalization for election defeats, and a central element of a Big Conspiracy Theory alleging that Democrats want open borders so they can drown good white taxpaying citizens in a sea of illegal voting by immigrants and other minorities seeking to give themselves welfare benefits.

Real Climate Change

Winter storms come and go, but whenever we report snow in Arizona and in Southern California is difficult to reject the notion of climate change.

The effects of a record-setting snowfall are expected to extend well into this weekend throughout the arid state of Arizona, including the city of Phoenix.

Officials say the storm closed long stretches of highways throughout Arizona where heavy snow had fallen. Many residents of Phoenix battled rain and cold temperatures, while Flagstaff had broken a 104-year-old record for snowfall in one day.

Digital Age Communication

The smoke signal is one of the oldest forms of long-distance communication. It is a form of visual messaging used to transmit news, signal danger, or gather people to a common area.

However, reaching out using smoke signals, carrier pigeons, the town crier, via an operator or a switchboard is ancient history. Today, the best way to communicate appears to be via Text.

Cuban Missile Crisis II

The Cuban Missile Crisis was a 13-day confrontation between the United States and the then Soviet Union initiated by American ballistic missile deployment in Italy and Turkey with consequent Russian ballistic missile deployment in Cuba.

It has been said that history tends to repeats itself, especially when individuals fail to learn the first time around. This could certainly be the case, but then again it could be another fear mongering smokescreen. This could be a distraction to take news off trump #TrumpRussiaProbe and Donald-Vladimir’s alliance, so don’t be fooled

Great Caesar’s Ghost

Submitted by ub on

Great Caesar’s Ghost was a phrase the fictional editor-in-chief of the Metropolis newspaper the Daily Planet said when he was shocked. Newsman Clark Kent, aka Superman, worked for Mr. White, who always maintained high ethical and journalistic standards as an archetypal image of a tough, irascible but fair-minded boss.

However, this time Superman may not be able to help and this is not fiction, folks we may have problems with climate change and you should consider the following as a warning of super proportions.

The World Health Organization has proposed rescheduling cannabis within international law to take account of the growing evidence for medical applications of the drug, reversing its position held for the past 60 years that cannabis should not be used in legitimate medical practice.

The WHO Expert Committee on Drug Dependence met to critically review available evidence on cannabis and related substances and to agree the most appropriate level of international control. https://www.who.int/

Lawless POTUS?

Submitted by ub on

President Trump has never had more than 50 percent approval rating and was not elected by a majority of votes cast, but that has not stopped him from declaring an apparently unconstitutional national emergency and further dividing and polarizing this great nation.

The courts will determine if he is violating the Constitution, negating our system of government based on the rule of law and refusing his core responsibility to protect our American democracy.

Look up in the sky, its a bird, its a plane, not its Supermoon. You may call it super, snow or full, the biggest, brightest moon of the year is finally here.

This is a lunar spectacle not to be missed. The biggest and brightest moon of 2019 is coming to the sky near you and it's worth stepping outside to view and a highly anticipated astrological occasion.

A Supermoon occurs when the moon is as close as it ever gets to Earth. Tonight, won't be just any night, our moon will only be about 221,000 miles from Earth, which is about 17,000 miles closer than the average moon.
