This dark image is of me on TV.  I’m in the front row on the left next to the man with a full beard. while singing on PBS Television

I may be losing my voice but I used to have a nice one. I sang harmony well and enjoyed singing along with a local  NYC choral group, and with a rock band, and in the shower.

The activity brought me a lot of joy, but now, my voice sounds like I have a permanent cold. I also used to play music competently, but now I can no longer reach the high notes. It's very difficult to accept this new reality.

I am writing this to you while you are sleeping. Not only because of the time difference but because GB knows you like to sleep late as much as possible. This is also because of your genes.
