NYC COVID

When I first moved to City Island, A Slice of NYC Paradise I found a small and quiet seaside village but I had no idea there would be so many knuckleheads living here who would eventually refuse to protect others and themselves by wearing masks. An old-timer who was born and died on the same street warned me that many of them had moved into our island. Captain Ed explained that according to local tradition, anyone actually born on the island is known as a "clamdigger". A City Island resident not born on the island is known as a "mussel-sucker."

The world thanks Americans for casting 80 million ballots for a real president with the experience and valor needed to do the job.

President-elect Joe Biden is the first presidential candidate in US history to win more than 80 million votes and that is a fact.

Happy Thanksgiving to all our #CityImages readers This is a difficult  year for the holidays, so we'll take ideas and feedback on how you're doing this year differently, and what you remain grateful for. Admin@cimages.me Box 147 NYC, NY 10464

Wide tornadoes such as the one which slammed New York on Sunday are relatively rare, but even more unusual is the fact that forecasters were able to predict zones hard hit earlier on, by nearby regions slammed in the Northeast over the weekend.

The National Weather Service issued the warning at 8:40 p.m. ET, telling residents to immediately go indoors, seek shelter and stay away from windows.

Some may try to badmouth this unique city, but if you're ever lucky enough to consider yourself a New Yorker, you will just blow it off.

New York City, aka The Big Apple, is a magical place featured in major motion pictures, Television programs, online media, like this post, and last but not least, it is also written about in popular songs. In fact, Gotham has served as an inspirational focal point for folks all over the universe.

STAND BY OUR HEROES

When the night has come
And the land is dark
And the moon is the only light we see
No, I won't be afraid
No, I won't be afraid
Just as long as you stand, stand by me

And darling, darling stand by me
Oh, now, now, stand by me
Stand by me, stand by me

If the sky that we look upon
Should tumble and fall
And the mountain should crumble to the sea
I won't cry, I won't cry
No, I won't shed a tear
Just as long as you stand, stand by me

Wild World City Life

The World Atlas claims there are approximately 4,444 cities on earth with a combined population of around 100,000 people.

Which #Mega #City is the largest and the best one in the globe?

SPOILER ALERT 🚨

Some lists place Tokyo as the largest city in the world, but I live in the greatest city on earth and I have traveled around including Japan, and China, so I think Shanghai takes the top honor when the entire municipality is counted as one city.

The Governor of New Jersey and Newark’s Mayor appear to be covering up the seriousness and health severity of lead poisoning. #WeThePeople have seen the exact same chain of events in Flint, Michigan.

While music superstars took to the stage during MTV’s Video Music Awards at Newark’s Prudential Center, protesters outside clashed with police, hoping to draw attention to Newark’s ongoing struggle for clean drinking water. Police thwarted activists, but dozens rushed a public plaza alongside the venue and heckled people waiting on line to get inside.
