Mother Nature's Butcher

Hamden is a town in New Haven County, Connecticut, USA. The town's nickname is "The Land of the Sleeping Giant". The population is believed to be at least 60,960

Unfortunately, we all know that people can be cruel to nature, and this one-of-a-kind tree, like many other aspects of nature which mankind has ruined over time, was destroyed. A man cut it down with a chainsaw just to spite his brother, and as the picture shows, its memory was lost with it.

Alaska Quake

A potentially serious and extremely large-scale earthquake has slammed the State of Alaska so large #USA hasn’t seen recently.

The M8.2 Alaska quake is on the subduction zone interface. What this means is that the seafloor under the Pacific Ocean is being pushed under the Alaskan peninsula. It also means it generated a tsunami and this is a potentially dangerous development.

A Big Bull Story

No, this is certainly not fake news and it isn't a late Aril Fools story. Have you heard the one about Barney, the lonely bull?

Barney the Bull has eluded capture after his farm escape. The 680kg lonely bull apparently likes his freedom as he keeps roaming around Long Island, NY. Barney is not thought to be aggressive towards humans until he gets hungry or HORNY!

Our number one fun in the sun preference is Orchard Beach, NY also known as The Bronx Riviera. The real reason is that it is next to our headquarters on City Island - A Slice of New York City Paradise.  https://www.nycgo.com/venues/orchard-beach. Don’t forget it: Orchard Beach is the gem of the Bronx! Make the most of your #SummerOfNYC and catch some rays and waves this weekend. #InTheBronx

ELSA Go Away

The first storm of the season to effect the eastern seaboard is something Elsa altogether as it soaked the East Coast with an unrelenting weather system that claimed one life in Florida, injured several in Georgia, and flooded sections of New York City streets and subways.

As Elsa keeps powering over the eastern mid-Atlantic region it is expected to move near or over the northeastern United States. No significant change in strength is expected today, and Elsa is forecast to become a post-tropical cyclone.

Killer Climate Change

Scientists point to the deadly Northwest heatwave as the climate change culprit and warn of more extreme heat as commonplace.

As climate change deniers show how dumb they are, the scientific community continues comparing the shocking temperatures in Oregon, Washington state, and British Columbia. Differentiating a forecast in Canada from a forecast in Phoenix is usually a breeze, but not this June.

I like to call City Island - A Slice of NYC Paradise because it is a quaint peaceful place on the most northeastern point of New York City.

Independence Day

On this Independence Day,  Americans should be free from voter suppression and the deprivation of Our God-given rights: “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed ... with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
