What is the first thought which comes up when we hear the phrase “Civic Participation”? Do you suddenly think of long lines at the polls to vote or waiting for long local government meetings to end?

Luckily, technology has completely changed the dynamics of the conversation. Anyone can send a message to the President their Senators, or US Representative with a few clicks. But, what has this done for how citizens talk to the government to improve their life experiences?‪

Trump claims to have built many terrific structures and said he would build a great wall. So far he has managed walls of Republican enablers, peaceful protesters, American moms, veterans, and kneeling athletes. Lastly, thanks to Mother Nature: The great builder who built a wonderful wall just lost it as it came crashing down during a storm.

The passing of a real American hero. A Georgia legislator and civil rights icon who lived for good trouble will never perish. With thousands of protests. 45 arrests. and 33 years in Congress, US Representative John Lewis will live on always and forever.

UNITED WE KNEEL

Lincoln - The Anti-Trump:

A house divided against itself, cannot stand. I believe this government cannot endure half slave and half free. I do not expect the Union to be dissolved but I do expect it will cease to be divided. It will become all one thing or all the other. Either the opponents of slavery will arrest the further spread of it, in the course of ultimate extinction; or its advocates will push it forward, till it shall become lawful in all the States, North as well as South.

USA Needs Absentee Ballots

All American citizens must demand that every state adopt mail-in voting. US Election officials need to move now and not wait. Soon, it will be too late. There won’t be time to make the changes needed to avoid chaos on Election Day. We are all equal at the ballot box, but only if we register and vote using our mailbox.

The League of Women Voters https://www.lwv.org/ engages millions of voters every year ensuring Americans have the information they need to participate in elections to determine our future.

The US Constitution First Amendment is to allow #WeThePeople to think, speak, write and worship as they wish, not what the government says.

Americans stand for truth and justice. Most are are conservatives although folks living on east and west coasts, as well as college towns, are considered liberal.

In how many ways has our great nation changed from how it was a couple of years ago? https://www.vox.com/a/how-the-us-is-changing

Government For We The People

Submitted by ub on

Our president, The US House, and The Senate, including all public servants, must constantly be reminded that they work for us and we should tell them each and every day if they wish to stay, or else go away!

The issue should never be what is best for me, but it must always be what is best for We The People. The American taxpayers who pay your salaries and all the benefits you are enjoying.

Washington's Farewell

Submitted by Admin on

“Against the insidious wiles of foreign influence (I conjure you to believe me, fellow-citizens) the jealousy of a free people ought to be constantly awake since history and experience prove that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of republican government. But that jealousy to be useful must be impartial; else it becomes the instrument of the very influence to be avoided, instead of a defense against it.” US President George Washington's Farewell Address in 1796.
