MUSEUMS ARE GIFTS

I like to tell my teenage students that I am so old, I live inside a museum. Please remember to donate to your local museum.

By connecting people, fostering learning and community, and nurturing museum excellence, The American Alliance of Museums is the only organization representing the entire museum field, from art and history museums to science centers and zoos.

#CityImages supports and champions equitable and impactful museums worldwide, and so could you.

THE SIXTIES

As my grandson turns 13 I started reminiscing about the magic of the 1960s, a decade that truly defined the music scene for me and my two older brothers forever.

The British Invasion was an iconic moment in pop culture history, and the blending of musical styles between the UK and the US during that time are fascinating subjects in ways that resonate even today. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0169528/

SHOULD IT WORRY US?

Should all of the people living in the free world worry that next year 2025 begins this way or are you sure we’re going to be okay?

WTF is an internet slang term that expresses disbelief. The earliest known use of WTF was four decades ago back in 1985.

The written abbreviation for wtf is a rude phrase used, for example in text messages and on social networking websites, to show that you are surprised or annoyed, or just do not shiv a git or care about something, or other.

Gratitude is the treasured feeling of thankfulness and appreciation for all the good things we experience from family and friends.

I am grateful for healthy, successful, and happy kids and our children's children. For my parents, grandparents and great-grandparents.

My wife and I got two tickets for the best seats to watch the holiday spectaculars including New Years Eve in Time Square.

These coveted front row tickets included the Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Rockefeller  Christmas Tree Lighing  ceremony and New Year’s Celebrations in Times Square to welcome 2025.

We send a shout-out to all our friends in the United States, Canada, Saint Lucia, Liberia, and unofficially in all countries.

There are also our brothers and sisters who celebrate in Brazil, Germany, and the Philippines. It is also observed in the Dutch town of Leiden and the Australian territory of Norfolk Island.

This season can be stressful for some with gift buying, planning and preparation. Here are songs to enjoy everyday.

Where’s Sam now that we need him more than ever? I’ve admire his desire to "destroy oysters done up in all kinds of seductive styles."

If you've ever read "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer or Huckleberry Finn," you may already be intimately familiar with the American humorist, novelist, journalist and travel writer. https://youtu.be/8cjq-n4uZ5A?si=Vg2fNPwN4-4veKZy

CD VALUES

Just when I was about to throw out my entire CD collection, I learned some may be wort much more than I paid way back when.

CDs From The '80s, '90s and '00s Are Now Selling For Over $10,000. Reportedly long before you could find all the music you could ever need on the iHeartRadio app, there were CDs. Music lovers would add to their collection any time their favorite bands released an album.

DEMOCRACY 民主 DEMOCRACIA

We are constantly attempting to capture the challenges of multilingualism in both personal and professional daily struggles.

Indeed, language barriers often go beyond just vocabulary and grammar; they impact confidence, communication, and the ability to contribute fully. The shift toward more inclusive environments where everyone feels heard, regardless of their linguistic background, is so important for creating truly diverse and innovative teams.

FRIGHTENING WORDS

Sorry for this dump. I’m old enough to recall that the most frightening words in the English language have now frighteningly evolved.

As I have previously stated, I'm an NPA (No Political Affiliation) I am not a registered Democrat or Republican although I was recruited by the Regan-Bush administration to serve as Division Chief at the US Information Agency's Spanish-language content arm.
