A person is obese if they have a body mass index of over 30.  3.4 million adults die annually from obesity or being overweight.

The rise in obesity has been gradual but constant across the globe, with the latest estimates suggesting that the world has over a billion obese people, double the rate that existed 20 years ago. The 10 most obese countries USA is ten. One in five kids is suffering from obesity. We have a few neighbors in my building. Some are bigger than others.

While half the nation or 154.6 million Americans survived through a blistering heat wave, #POTUS has unveiled valuable information. 

A heat wave is simply a period of unusually hot weather that typically lasts more than a couple of days. The temperatures have to be outside the historical averages for a given area.

A couple of 95-degree summer days in Maine, for example, might be considered a heat wave, but a couple of 95-degree summer days in Death Valley would be pretty unremarkable.

Sleep During Heatwave

First and foremost make sure you drink plenty of water during the day to keep your body hydrated and cool while you are sleeping. 

Make sure you can count on cooling mattresses or toppers for sweat-free nights. 

Dehydration is a common cause of not being able to get to sleep, and it is known as insomnia.

Keep a glass/insulated container of cold water by your bed in case you wake up hot and uncomfortable.

Carefully chose the coolest part of the house to sleep in, if it is not your bedroom,  temporarily move there.

Regardless of which side of the abortion issue any American stands on, SCOTUS conservative jurists have managed to rewrite history.

The ruling reportedly signals a new battle at the polls for future elections. Republicans have won only eight of the last 14 presidential elections and two of those presidents did not win the popular vote, so the president has seemed like more or less a toss-up since the debacle of the Lyndon Johnson presidency.

James Eugene "Jim" Seals Co-Founder of “Summer Breeze” Duo Seals and Crofts has reportedly died at 80 years of age.
