Every one of us holds the power to heal. To have a real impact on the health of the people around you. We all do it daily.

This is the real reason why modern medicine is ripe for a change in perspective. Because each of us is a human being in search of kindness and understanding. Our body, mind, and spirits are one and the same.

The world's oldest news organization offers these close-up photos of this pandemic-era Olympic Games, you can imagine the world's most competitive athletes saying to their rivals: “Are you OK?” 

Public Health Politics

At some point #USA voters will have to chose between public health and their quality of life or the politics of hate and total denial.

As the GOP appears to be leading the nation into dangerous territory that should alarm Americans about the quality of health care, and the lack of compassion for all citizens, there are precautions that could be immediately taken including encouraging folks to get vaccinated, asking people to wear masks, and allowing schools to mandate masks, which is not the current state of play in #Republican led regions.

Given the severity of the Delta variant, the USA health officials from CDC have once again asked everyone - unvaccinated and vaccinated - to use a mask indoors in high-risk areas - which is most of the country. The virus does not distinguish between countries, Remember and do not forget.

The opening ceremony inside eerily empty stadium seats. Let the weirdness begin. The first reviews of the fan-less Olympics are in, and after watching The Parade of Nations on television we can say this event may be somewhat underwhelming.

But as they say, the show must go on. This term is used to say that an event must continue even though there are problems, and boy there sure is, the elephant in the stadium... The global pandemic.

Mi grand baby Olivia enjoys mindfulness meditation, which helps to cultivate a sense of self-awareness, of your body, of your breath, of your emotions, your feelings, your beliefs, your thoughts, but you're staying connected to a state of peace.

A study published in Frontiers in Human Neuroscience found that meditation might have a lasting effect on the amygdala, the part of the brain that processes emotion.
