It's beginning to look like the USA will have a long hot wait while more American voters begin exercising their political muscles. The US House of Representatives has approved a new plan, which government officials at CBO have yet to vet.

This has a long way to go before it becomes law, but in the coming months, once it is reviewed by The Congressional budget office and tweaked by members of The US Senate, it can then become the law of the land to replace the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare.

NY Free Tuition

You must be delighted if you are like me, who has a child of age to qualify for free state tuition. If not and you have a kid starting college soon? You might want to move to New York.

The state becomes the first in the nation to make college tuition free for middle-class students at two-year and four-year public colleges. Gov. Andrew Cuomo pushed for the plan earlier this year. Lawmakers OK'd it in the state budget over the weekend.

Price Was Wrong

Tom Price, Trump's US Secretary of Health had one priority, to Repeal and Replace #Obamacare, which is what the president promised to replace it with #Trumpcare. The Secretary vowed to dismantle the health reform law that his predecessors spent years implementing.

He is an orthopedic surgeon who may have put his foot in his mouth while he decried ACA aka Obamacare was a threat to the quality and the affordability of American health care.

Fingercrossing Or Fingerpointing?

These are the possible outcomes. Win, lose, go back to the drawing board, or jump on Trump. Will US Congress call the president's bluff, blame it on Trump or do these members gamble with getting dumped?

President Trump has forced a vote on the GOP plan to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act. Why aren't Americans given the opportunity to fully compare and contrast the two plans?

Who Wants Repeal and Replace?

Reality TV celebrity Donald Trump who hosted “The Apprentice”, coined a signature line for dismissing unworthy aspirants. Every time he let somebody go and said "You're Fired!", Trump offered these biting words of critique. I don’t want somebody running one of my companies who is going to be beaten up so badly, he told another contestant. You’ve been lazy, others heard the following, you’ve been nothing but trouble. Karma sure has an interesting way of biting back.

It may be a difficult day for those suffering from triskaidekaphobia, known as a fear of the number 13. This number has always been associated with something or someone who is extremely negative and evil.

Paraskevidekatriaphobia or friggatriskaidekaphobia is a morbid, irrational fear of Friday the 13th

Today happens to be the first of two Friday the 13ths that will fall in 2017 and some fear it may be some sort of a strange omen.

US ELECTORAL OBSERVATIONS

Our present political pollution must be immediately cleaned up if we are to improve our vile national climate.

The upcoming presidential debates must concentrate on the issues and not personal attacks. Candidates should prioritize difficult issues like education, job growth, social security as they pertain to medicare, fiscal responsibility, and intergenerational equity.

They must outline their plans to slow the rate of growth in health care costs that threatens many Americans. How will they encourage the country to save and reduce our dependency on the foreign lenders? How will they emphasize statutory budget controls, entitlement reform, current tax policies and encourage bipartisan action to review all issues and make recommendations with a guaranteed up or down vote by Congress?

We need to elect a president who will solve many critical issues, unite all Americans and educate the public to seek meaningful reforms.
