But do you remember why the band happened to chose the 21st as the date for the song? Many assume it has to do with the seasons changing September 21 is the first day of Autumn. It happens to be the international day of peace. The simple reality is that it rhymes nicely..

Royalty Ruled At Emmys

The votes for real royalty overwhelmingly ruled the Emmys night as The Crown reigned supreme along with The Queen’s Gambit. 

The 73rd Emmy Awards largely celebrated the shows and performances that kept us occupied while cooped up indoors for months. The Emmys had limited attendance for the in-person festivities that took place at the Event Deck at L.A. Live, but it was a step toward normalcy.

Aretha Louise Franklin, The Queen of Soul is finally getting the Respect she tirelessly worked so hard for all her life after her death.

Aretha’s smash hit Respect, aka Otis’ Fight Power hat reached the top 500 greatest recorded songs of all time.

She topped the massive roster of artists in a just-released list of the best songs of all time, according to a Rolling Stone Magazine survey.

It was more than 20 years ago today, Rolling Stone had the idea to say which were the top songs to play.

It has been succinctly said that an antithesis to sibling rivalry in musical terms, is brotherly, sisterly, or Everly Harmony.

The Andrew Sisters had it. So do The Soto Brothers. Last but not least, The Everly Brothers. Their songs shaped many musical ambitions, including mine.

RIP: Don Everly, one-half of the pioneering Everly Brothers whose harmony hits pleased a generation of rock ‘n’ rollers.
