Silent Night

There are a countless number of fascinating stories about of our best-known and loved songs. This is the one we selected, which is appropriate during these turbulent times and for the holy season, which is now upon us.

And suddenly there appeared with the angel a great multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests!” When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.”

Once upon a time, begins an ancient story of the real silent night. This historical gem is said to have begun in Oberndorf, a village near Salzburg, back in the year 1818 on Christmas Eve. Joseph Mohr, a Catholic curate was preparing Christmas services, so he tried to play the church organ, but it wasn’t working because mice chewed through the bellows.

Mohr then went out to visit members of the community, including one family with a sick baby. Mohr was apparently awed by the peace that lay over the scene. It reminded him of the need for music for the service, so he recalled a poem he previously wrote, which he then took to a schoolteacher and organist from a neighboring village named Franz Gruber, who composed “Silent Night” and performed it for the first time that night in Oberndorf, but playing guitar instead of the organ.

Decency Won

Sore Losers are never decent. Mr. Jones is going to Washington, DC after a stunning victory against Roy Moore, who refuses to concede Alabama on the horse he rode in.

Alabama Registered voters woke up this morning after rising to the challenge and voting for decency. They now have a new senator-elect they can be proud of, Doug Jones, after the Democrat shocked Trump-backed candidate Roy Moore in an upset for the state's open Senate seat.

Roy fought accusations of allegedly molesting teenage girls in the 1970s when he was in his 30.

Respect- It's Earned, Not Given

Didn't little Donnie get enough love while growing up in NY? His parents apparently became so frustrated by their spoiled brat they sent away to military school.

Later on, he sought fame by manipulating the media and inflating his family's wealth, so he eventually got on TV. Now, since winning without the popular vote, why doesn't he get respect?

People who have a high level of self-awareness, who feel they fit into the world and how others see them, make better decisions, raise mature kids, are less likely to lie, cheat, steal and have healthier relationships.

This nail-biter is just hours away, but make no mistake about it this day, Moore was less of Trump's first choice then, but today is another day. @POTUS now supports Moore despite coming out hard for his opponent during the campaign. Then when his opponent lost, Trump strangely claimed Luther did not embrace him hard enough. You know, the way some say he embraces Putin.
