A very lively and combative final debate for New York City mayor underscored Andrew Cuomo’s last-ditch shot as he seeks to stop frontrunner Zohran Mamdani’s efforts to win City Hall. The former governor and the Republican nominee, Curtis Sliwa, teamed up to attack Mamdani on his inexperience, his dodging of questions, and his criticism of Israel. Dominance displays are commonly observed in male animals—often primates—who seek to improve their social status. Behaviors like stamping, slapping the ground, dragging branches, and throwing rocks serve to intimidate rivals and impress onlookers, showing strength, boldness, and creativity. The core idea is that:
Spectacular and vigorous displays = greater social impact
This leads to faster ascent in the hierarchy and longer dominance
In evolutionary terms, such behaviors may be selected for because high status often brings better access to resources, including mates.

An all-points bulletin, also known as an APB, is a message sent from one law enforcement agency to another, typically to alert officers to a wanted suspect or vehicle in connection with a crime. APBs can also be used to instruct officers to arrest a specific suspect. The technology used to send APBs has evolved, from teletype and radio to computerized bulletin boards and the Internet.
