Cuba Si and NO?

Submitted by ub on

Anger at deteriorating living conditions in the Communist island has galvanized a grassroots movement led by artists and musicians demanding freedom of expression, civil rights, and ending to one-party grip by The Castros suppression.

Is the Governor pulling his support or is Mo Ron DeSantis talking out of both sides of his mouth in a moment of clueless GOP insanity?

While the GOP Governor claims he’ll call for a special session after special session until the next election, Democrats refuse to stay.

Texas state House Democrats have left the state in an effort to block Republicans from passing a restrictive new voting law in the remaining 27 days of the special legislative session called by Governor Greg Abbott.

Truth and Democracy

The rise of Fascism in Spain followed a classic trajectory that can serve as a blueprint for how Democracy can be destroyed.

My grandfather's family fled Fascism in Spain and my dad's family lost everything when we left Communism in Cuba. These facts underline how liars can dismantle our fragile Democracy.

Blondes Have More Fun

As Krysten Sinema and Liz Cheney apparently agree on saving the Senate filibuster in US Congress, are these blondes having fun?

Blonde hair is seen as the most covetable color among women since it's rare but not quite as polarizing as the redhead. And yes, it's true: Blondes really do have more fun or are at least seen that way, anyway.

While studies have shown that blondes are considered more approachable, other women tend to be rated higher for attractiveness and are assumed to be more intelligent and capable.

Sandra Luz Gallegos Devine, Los Angeles, CA, June 12, 2021.-Today I had breakfast with a friend and journalist here in Los Angeles.

Little I know about Mexico these days and not trusting the traditional media, I am always skeptical about what is published here or in any other country.

When I was recruited to work for US President George HW Bush's GOP administration at USIA, I was the only non-Republican that I know of (I have no political affiliation) and the youngest GM-15/10 to serve in Washington DC.

Allow me to begin by saying that I worked for President HW Bush and it appears to me that he would be shocked by the following.

I am not a #Republican, I have no political affiliation but in terms of the Bush #GOP dynasty and the expanded family tree, George P. Bush is the son of former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, the nephew of former President George W. Bush, and the grandson of my former boss US president George H.W. Bush, and the great grandson of Senator Prescott Bush.

Prelate Counterpoint

Catholic prelates are at odds over whether any politician who supports abortion rights should be allowed to receive Holy Communion.

A prelate is a high-ranking member of the clergy who is ordinary or who ranks in precedence with ordinaries. The word derives from the Latin prelates, the past participle of preferred, which means 'carry before', 'be set above or over' or 'prefer'; hence, a prelate is one set over others.

After years of having a government and leaders without ethics, it's necessary to stop all lies and cheating in politics and everywhere.

Ethical standards are the moral principles that govern everyone’s behavior while carrying out or conducting any activity.

The free world is watching as the infamous date is approaching the Cuban Missile Crisis anniversary. Will these two be forever known as Kremlin Cruz and Moscow Marco?
It was one month and four days in 1962 from 16 October – 20 November.
