GUADALUPE DAY
On this special holy day, may the Virgin Mary, Patron Saint of The Americas Our Lady of Guadalupe pray for and protect all of us.
Our Lady of Guadalupe, also known as the Virgin of Guadalupe, is a Catholic title of Mary, mother of Jesus associated with a series of five Marian apparitions of a Mexican peasant named Juan Diego and his uncle, Juan Bernardino, which may have occurred in December 1531, when the Mexican territories were under the Spanish Empire.
As Our Lady of Guadalupe is celebrated, a church's story tells New York City's rich Hispanic history.
