On October 4, Catholics honor St. Francis of Assisi, Founder of the Franciscan spirituality as practiced by the friars and nuns 

St. Francis of Assisi thirsted with his whole body and soul after Christ. Drawing hope from his example, we are strengthened by our closeness to God. Praying together in community and coming before Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, we too seek to thirst with our whole body and soul after Jesus Christ.

It has played a significant role in the history of bigotry, wars, persecution, church-state relationships, and selective indignation against Christians accusing. Christians are called out for staying silent about their 'abusive' MAGA members and their violent antics.
