Another  Polar Vortex Winter storm brings snow to the eastern portion of the US, with travel delays and businesses closed.

Another Arctic blast will bring cold temperatures and dangerous wind chills to the Plains and the Mississippi Valley to the eastern US. Lake effect snow will continue downwind of the Great Lakes this weekend. Higher elevation snow is expected across the West and heavy rain is expected in northern California.

New York City residents had no seen snow for over seven hundred days and nights, but now we have seen more than enough.

The Empire State’s Governor Kathy Hochul today urged New Yorkers in parts of the state to prepare for a lake effect snowstorm that is forecast to dump one to three feet of snow to the region.

Two powerful systems continue to impact the Pacific Northwest, Central, Southern, and Eastern U.S. throughout this week.

Severe thunderstorms, damaging winds, heavy snow, blizzard conditions, flash flooding, and coastal impacts will all be possible. In Alaska, blizzard conditions are expected on the Alaskan coast Wednesday. Meanwhile, heavy rainfall will lead to flooding concerns in Hawaii.

New York City Emergency Management today issued a travel advisory for Sunday, December 17, and Monday, December 18.

The National Weather Service is monitoring a major coastal storm that will impact the region with a mix of moderate to heavy rain, strong to damaging wind gusts, and minor to moderate coastal flooding to the area Sunday into Monday.

We woke up with temperatures in the 20s, according to the National Weather Service. a new storm system brings the threat of severe thunderstorms. When they call it Fall, they are referring to the temperatures keep falling.

Snowy weather, with freezing temperatures, is blanketing the #USA today. Winter is coming early for several regions across the country.

Frosty the Pumpkin was a very jolly soul... This must be nature’s trick because it is not a treat so early in the Fall. The calendar may say it's autumn, but winter weather has made an unseasonable arrival for a large section of the nation, bringing with it freezing temperatures and measurable snowfall to several regions.

While Hurricane Lee forms in the Atlantic Ocean it is expected to rapidly intensify into an 'extremely dangerous' major storm on Friday.

It is the first major hurricane of the 2023 Atlantic hurricane season that arrives early, as it crawls north through the Caribbean.

A National Hurricane Center update states that the storm intensified overnight, gaining maximum sustained winds of 115 mph, which makes it a category 3 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale.
